Bio

House music producers, DJs, radio show hosts and party boys, aka Phonatics, (Mike Warner and Anders Magnusson) formed in 2008. The duo has remixed for internationally renowned record labels including One Love, Bam Bam Muzik, Kontor, Chromosome, Central Station and Grindin and also worked on collaborations with Melbourne’s Midnite Sleaze, Marcus Knight & Fabian Gray.

Over the past two years they have developed their own unique sound that has led to a number of chart topping hits. Joining them in 2010, adding his own unique spin on things, is fellow Adelaide based producer/DJ, UberJakd, aka Ben Grzywacz.

Right now Phonatics (and UberJakd) are climbing the ARIA Club Chart ladder, currently at #5 for their remix of the hit Piper & Fernandez ft. Marvin Priest – Rockstar (track available now on Bam Bam Muzik). The track has risen from an entry spot of #17 to #5 in just two weeks, conquering all prior chart success for Phonatics. Previously their remix of Steve Hart– Backroom DJs remained in the chart for 14 weeks and their remix of Dirty Laundry – Disco Infected held its spot for 17 weeks.

Their unique sound incorporates progressive to tech house, with latest productions delving into the dirtier side of house, including elements of Dutch, electro and dubstep. Phonatics have flaunted their unique sound on recent original releases ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘Shameless’ with both tracks receiving a deluge of positive feedback from DJs and music producers Australia-wide.

Phonatics host radio show ‘Up-Front’, promoting upcoming local talent and music. The show is broadcast worldwide every Wednesday, 10pm – 12am, AEST on www.soundpond.net.

In 2009 Phonatics hit the festival scene, playing in front of thousands at Heaven on Earth, A Day At The Beach, Schoolies and N-Hanced and rocked clubs interstate including Family Nightclub in Brisbane. Adding to their repertoire, Phonatics will also be playing at the We Love Sounds 2010 festival in Adelaide.

With electrifying collaborations, original productions and alluring remixes planned for the future, many more chart hits are expected from Phonatics in the future. Next goal, an Australia-wide tour, there is no stopping these Adelaide boys.
